Where is Malacca butterfly reptile sanctuary?

Ayer Keroh located about 15 km in the Northeast of Malacca town. It holds the pride of having Malacca Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary. This is the most attractive tourist spot. “Taman Rama Rama” is another name for this Malacca butterfly farm.
Malacca butterfly reptile sanctuary houses a huge collection of animals from beautiful butterflies to poisonous snakes. Besides, the tourists can have a look at Crocodiles, Lizards, Koi Fish, and a couple of golden Leopards.
This sanctuary occupied a large space of over 11-acre jungle site. It is a part of the secondary jungle and landscaped park. Reptile and Butterfly Park Melaka has five sections. They are Koi River Valley, Butterfly Garden, Reptile Aviary, Wild Photo Lane and Nature’s Art Centre. This UNESCO World Heritage site in Malaysia reckons a large number of tourists regularly.
Malacca butterfly & reptile sanctuary was opened to the public on the 1st February 1991. The Former Melaka Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam presided over the inauguration.

Butterfly Garden:

The primary attraction of Malacca Butterfly Park & Reptile Sanctuary is the “Butterfly Garden”. This place is with full of butterflies, they roam around the garden, cheer the tourists flamboyantly. There are over 200 different butterfly species. It includes Malayan Birdwing, Black and White Helen, and the Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing. The last one is considered as the Malaysia’s National Butterfly. The butterfly’s breeding happens in a natural condition here. It is sure that Butterfly Garden would be a colorful watch and learning spot to children.

Koi River Valley:

Koi River Valley is the place for serenity. The tourists can enjoy by seeing countless carps swim in the beautiful ponds. The ponds receive water from small waterfalls. In this Picnic spot, you can peacefully walk in the 250 meters shady place. This is the best place for clicks. Wild Photo Lane is another place to take photos. Here tourists can take very close-up and personal shots with Burmese python, red-tailed boa, and giant green iguana.

Reptile Aviary:

Malacca Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary, Reptile Aviary comprises various species of reptiles. There are pythons, cobras, boas, vipers crawling in the sprawled landscape, live naturally. The giant a Burmese python and 20ft python are really dreadful to see. If the tourists feel adverse to see snakes, then they can go to watch out long-nose whip snakes. After the snake section, you may find crocodiles in a small closed section of the park, Malacca crocodile farm. This section contains not only crocodiles but also a pair of golden leopards in the cage. You may find many photogenic lizards here. The Malacca reptile park also consists of a photo booth where you can take clicks with python, iguana, and macaws.

In this tourist spot, the adults RM12 & children (3-12 years) RM 7 should pay for the Ticket to visit Malacca Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary. It is really worth.
The Sanctuary is open from 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM on all days of the week.
